Dr Chia graduated from NUS in 2000 and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Masters of Medicine in 2006. After completion of the Basic Specialist Training in Internal Medicine, he went on to pursue advanced specialist training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital (CGH), where he was awarded the Best Candidate by the Chapter of Dermatologists.

In 2011, he was awarded scholarship by the Ministry of Health and Singapore Health Services to pursue a fellowship in Dermatologic & Mohs micrographic surgery and Skin Cancer at Ninewells Hospital under the tutelage of Professor Colin Fleming. He was also mentored by Professor Eckart Haneke in Nail Disorders at the Department of Dermatology, University Hospital Inselspital, University of Berne, Switzerland.
Dr Chia started his Dermatology practice in Changi General Hospital where he launched the Mohs surgery service in 2012 to improve the care for patients with skin cancers. Since 2014, Dr Chia moved into private practice as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Raffles Skin and Aesthetic Centre where he manages a wide range of dermatological conditions. In addition, he also started the Mohs surgery service in Raffles Hospital.
Dr Chia has special interests in skin cancers, Mohs and dermatologic surgery, nail diseases and management of eczema. In addition, his clinical expertise includes general dermatology like mole and skin cancer screening, assessment of skin allergies, acne, pigmentary disorders, psoriasis, urticaria and hair loss, as well as evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
Dr Chia continues to serve as Visiting Consultant at the National Skin Centre. He is also a Visiting Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon at the Division of Dermatology, National University Hospital..
Dr Chia remains active in teaching and academia. He was awarded the NHG Outstanding Education Partners Award in 2019 for his efforts in teaching residents. He has published and presented various research papers on dermatology in scientific journals and conferences. He has also contributed numerous articles and is an invited speaker for medical and patient education.

Dr Shanna Ng is a Ministry of Health accredited Dermatologist with a decade experience in the specialty. She practises in fields of general, aesthetic and laser dermatology. Her subspecialty is in Paediatric Dermatology and Eczema. Prior to joining The Dermatology Practice @ Mount Elizabeth Orchard, Dr Shanna was a Consultant and Clinical Assistant Professor with Changi General Hospital and Singhealth Duke-NUS Medicine Academic Clinical Program respectively. She continues to be a Visiting Consultant to the Eczema clinic at Changi General Hospital.
Dr Shanna graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia and completed her clinical rotations at St Vincent’s Hospital in 2006, following which she returned to Singapore to pursue her career in medicine. She completed her Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at National Skin Center and Changi General Hospital in 2015. She was awarded the Eastern Health Alliance Human Manpower Development Program (HMDP) Fellowship sponsorship in 2015 to pursue subspecialty training in Paediatric Dermatology at the University Miami Miller School of Medicine, USA. She also did a short observership with the Paediatric Dermatology Department at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne in 2017.
Dr Shanna’s subspecialty interest in Paediatric Dermatology also led her to be one of the founders of the Rare Skin Disease Society of Singapore in 2017. She is also a member of the Asian Society of Paediatric Dermatology since 2018 and International Society of Paediatric Dermatology since 2021. Dr Shanna has published in her subspecialty field and also beyond in peer-reviewed scientific journals and contributed to the textbooks Paediatric Dermatology 4th edition, Atlas of Asian Paediatric Dermatology which are currently in press and also Paediatric Skin of Color. She was also the Principal and Sub-investigator for trials studying the efficacy and safety of biologics in moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. She is interested in educating the public about Eczema and has helped to organize the annual Changi General Hospital Eczema public forum from 2016 to 2019.
In 2018, Dr Shanna was awarded the 10-year long service award with Changi General Hospital. She was also awarded the Eastern Health Alliance Caring award, Silver in 2014 and Singapore Health Quality Service award, Silver in 2020. Aside from her clinical commitments, she was the department representative for Workplace Safety and Health Risk Assessment. She was also a Clinical Physician faculty member of the Singhealth Internal Medicine Residency Program and was an examiner for the MBBS exams.

Dr Lynn Teo is a Consultant Dermatologist with more than 20 years of medical experience. Her sub-specialty training is in Cosmetic and Procedural Dermatology, Hair Transplant Surgery, Hair and Scalp Disorders, and Immune System problems affecting the skin.
Dr Teo graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine (St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School) in London in 1999, following which she returned to Singapore to pursue her career in medicine. After completion of the Basic Specialist Training in Internal Medicine, she went on to Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital.
She was awarded a scholarship in 2009 by the Ministry of Health and Singapore Health Services to pursue a fellowship in Hair Transplant Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. Whilst at Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr Teo worked with renowned dermatologists who are experts in their fields of skin and hair surgery, aesthetic and procedural dermatology.
Dr Teo started the Hair Loss and Hair Transplant clinics at Changi General Hospital in 2010 and was the Consultant dermatologist of the Immuno-blistering and Collagen Vascular Skin Disorder clinic in 2011- 2012. She is now a Visiting Consultant to the Department of Dermatology at Changi General Hospital where she is involved in patient care and teaching of doctors training in dermatology.
Aside from clinical activities, Dr Teo sat in the committees for Wound Management and Research Advisory Group. She has published and presented various research papers on dermatology in scientific journals and conferences. She has also contributed numerous articles and is an invited speaker for medical and patient education.
Recognition awarded to Dr Teo include Best Houseman during her internship year (1999) and Silver and Gold Best Service Awards for excellence in patient care in 2010 and 2011 respectively under the Singapore Health Quality Service.
Dr Teo is a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and the Chapter of Dermatologists, College of Physicians, Singapore. She is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Dermatology).

Dr Gavin Ong is a dermatologist by training and is a Consultant with The Dermatology Practice @ Gleneagles. He completed his dermatology training at the National Skin Centre, Singapore (NSC). Following his training, he was practising as a Consultant at NSC, and as a Visiting Consultant at Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital (KTPH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He is currently still a Visiting Consultant at KTPH. Dr Gavin Ong has presented and published numerous research papers in conferences and scientific journals. He has also been actively involved in medical education at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and Duke-NUS Medical School.
He underwent his Fellowship at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and St Stephen Centre in London and his sub-speciality interest include Sexual Health/STI and HIV Dermatoses. His previous appointments include being the Deputy Head at the Department of STI Control, a Public Health Officer under the Ministry of Health and the Medical Director of The Skin Specialist (SMG Dermatology Centre). As the Deputy Head at the Department of STI Control, he was actively involved in numerous public sexual health programmes and initiatives with the Ministry of Health.
He is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore under the Chapter of Dermatologists, as well a Member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore (DSS). Internationally, he is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and Glasgow, United Kingdom, an International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a Member of the European Academy of Dermato-Venereology (EADV), and a Member of The International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI). He also obtained a Masters Degree in Medical Law & Ethics in 2015.
At the The Dermatology Practice, Dr Gavin Ong provides a wide range of services from medical dermatology, to cosmetic dermatology, as well as his sub-specialty interest of sexually transmitted infections. The range of medical skin conditions include acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin allergies, skin cancers and inflammatory skin conditions. For cosmetic dermatology, common concerns include hair (too much or too little on the scalp, face or body), skin pigmentation, excessive perspiration (underarms, palms and soles) and facial aging. Dr Rachael Teo is a Ministry of Health accredited Dermatologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in both public and private practice. She has been practicing Dermatology since 2004.
After graduation from the National University of Singapore in 2000, she obtained her Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and was elected a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2004. Dr Teo completed her Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at Changi General Hospital (CGH) and National Skin Centre in 2009. In 2012, Dr Teo completed her fellowship in Immunodermatology at the prestigious Indiana University School of Medicine, USA.
Dr Teo started her Dermatology practice in at Changi General Hospital where she launched the Immunodermatology Clinic in 2009 to improve the care for patients with immunobullous and collagen vascular disorders affecting the skin. She was also involved in the development of the CGH Eczema Clinic and has extensive experience in the management of both adult and paediatric patients with difficult-to-manage atopic eczema. She currently retains a Visiting Consultant session at CGH Immunodermatology Clinic. In recognition of excellent patient care, Dr Teo was awarded the CGH Quarterly Best Service Award in 2013. While in public service, she was active in the training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate dermatology trainees and was appointed Clinical Tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. Since 2013, Dr Teo moved into private practice as a Consultant at the Raffles Skin and Aesthetic Centre where she further developed her clinical expertise, managing a wide range of dermatological conditions for both local and expatriate patients.
At The Dermatology Practice @ Gleneagles, Dr Teo aims to provide excellent, evidence-based care for her patients. Her clinical expertise includes general dermatology like mole and skin cancer screening, assessment of skin allergies, acne, pigmentary disorders, psoriasis, urticaria and hair loss, as well as evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. She has a special interest in managing patients with pemphigoid, pemphigus, cutaneous vasculitis and connective tissue disorders affecting the skin such as cutaneous lupus erythematosus. She performs skin surgery for mole removal and other benign skin lesions. She is proficient in the use of laser surgery for facial rejuvenation and to treat a variety of conditions such as acne scars, pigmentation and tattoo removal.
Dr Teo remains active academically in the local Dermatology community. She is a frequently invited speaker at public educational forums and has published many research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has served 2 terms on the Executive Committee of The Dermatological Society of Singapore and also in organizing committees of local Dermatology meetings. Presently, she is the Vice-Chairman of the Chapter of Dermatologists, College of Physicians, Singapore.

A consultant dermatologist with The Dermatology Practice, Dr Lim Kar Seng has more than 20 years of medical experience. His subspecialties are in skin cancers, phototherapy and psoriasis.
Prior to setting up The Dermatology Practice, Dr Lim was a consultant dermatologist in private practice with Dermatology Associates from 2010 to 2012 and had clinics at the Paragon medical centre, Gleneagles & Parkway East medical centre. Before entering private practice, Dr Lim was a consultant dermatologist in the skin cancer unit, and the psoriasis unit at the National Skin Centre, Singapore. In addition, he was a clinical tutor at the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
After graduating from the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Dr Lim underwent his training in Internal Medicine. Upon completion in 2004, he obtained his Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre. Subsequently, Dr Lim pursued his special interest in skin cancers at the Victoria Skin and Cancer Foundation, Australia, which sees one of the highest rates of this condition in the world. There, he worked with world-renowned experts in this field. He also did research and was involved in the care of psoriasis patients at St Vincent’s hospital, Melbourne. He has extensive experience in the use of biologic therapies for psoriasis patients.
Throughout his career, Dr Lim has been actively involved in research and has published more than 20 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has been invited to give numerous lectures in his field of expertise both locally and internationally, notably at the World Congress of Dermatology 2011 at Seoul, Korea and at the Asia Pacific Acne Leaders Summit 2012 in Hong Kong
His accomplishments include being awarded the ASEAN scholarship (1990), Best Registrar and the National Healthcare Group Best Teacher Award (2007), World Congress of Dermatology scholarship (2007) and the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Program Award (2008).
Dr Lim is on the Chapter of Dermatologists, College of Physicians Singapore and was an Executive Committee member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore. He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Dermatology) and a member of the International Society of Investigative Dermatology.
